Our love story is nothing short of a miracle. We met in 1999 when we were students at UL-Lafayette. We became friends through Chi Alpha activities, but lost contact with each other after graduation. We ran into each other every now and then for a few years but never really kept in touch.
In January 2006, there was a week of prayer and fasting at my church. We were encouraged to write down what we wanted God to do for us this year and pray specifically that God would meet that need. This is what I wrote, “I want to meet my husband this year.” That Friday, January 13, I whispered to God, “Please let me meet my husband this year.” He whispered back, “It is finished.” I had no idea how it would happen, but I trusted God.
The very next Saturday was our first date! We knew from that day that God had ordained for us to be together as husband and wife. We were engaged on June 24, 2006 and on January 27, 2007 we were be united in marriage! We give glory and praise to God for the gift He has given us in each other! God is faithful to fulfill His promises.
