Eliana’s Kitchen

My friend, Dawn inspired me to make a play kitchen because she made one for her daughter. Here’s a link to her kitchen. So Kellen & I decided to make Eliana one. We had an old microwave stand we weren’t using so we used that as the base. She loves it.
Here’s the original stand.
Here’s the kitchen. We cut the legs of the stand to make it shorter, attached a piece of plywood to the back as the backsplash, added a shelf, and coasters for burners. The “sink” is just a bowl. We got the pots/pans set from IKEA. The bottles of “spices” are salt & pepper shakers from Target with colored rice in them.
Here’s a close-up of the cookie dough/cookies I made for her out of felt. I got this idea from Ohdeedoh!
As you can see Eliana LOVES it – she even likes to “season” her food!
Adding Color

This weekend, we decided that our living room was looking kind of bland and lacked color and personality. So, we decided to add some color and update our design. Since we live in an apartment, we are not allowed to paint on the walls so we got creative!
