Wow. What can be said. Katrina has destroyed many lives and I doubt things will ever be the same for new orleans. It’s been over two days and I still haven’t had contact with my parents in abita springs. I was finally able to talk to my sister in covington last night and she at least told me they are ok. At least I got some sleep last night. I’m lucky. Many people still have no word from their familes. Looters are making matters worse. I heard they were trying to break into the children’s hospital to loot it. These are children and people want to steal what supplies they have! My heart is broken, I don’t know what to say. We see tragedies on the news all the time but I don’t know what to say. This is so close to home, its sobering and frightening. I pray that God will just begin to comfort everyone effected by this tragedy and that he will have His hand upon the many workers who are trying to save as many people as they can and to care for those who are without a home.
